Most of the E-pistles published on Malt Maniacs are written by one of the 24 'certified malt maniacs'
but every now and then we receive submissions from other single malt Scotch whisky lovers as well.
On this page you'll find an overview of all E-pistles that were submitted by 'foreign correspondents',
That's the name we use for writers who are not 'officially' part of our team of certified malt maniacs.
The fact that I had to restrict the team size to 24 members doesn't mean that we are 'elitists' - just
that allowing the team to grow even further would have made maintaining this site virtually impossible.

The designation 'foreign correspondent' also applies to ex-maniacs like Patrick Whaley from the USA
and Matti Jaatinen from Finland. It seems that somewhere along the way they discovered a miracle
cure for the malt mania that still plagues the rest of us. The objective of our little self help group is
sharing our experiences, so when Patrick and Matti stopped writing their places on the team were
made available to other people with the need to sing songs of praise and/or vent their spleens.
Once a year the condition of all patients is reviewed to see if they still suffer from malt mania.
