Erm, yes, well, you see....
This brand new section of Malt Maniacs is still under heavy construction.
When it's finished, the 'Loony Bin' will contain all the items that don't really
fit into the four other segments of the Malt Maniacs website.

Like I said, this 'loony bin' isn't quite finished just yet.
Nevertheless, two new items are already (more or less) complete.
The
Global Malt Lex-icon contains data on all malt whisky distilleries in the
world (compiled by Lex Kraaijeveld), while the
Fake Alert page is designed to
keep you abreast of the suspect bottles we've discovered on our fake whisky
hunt so far. Soon to come: a 'Goodies' page with E-cards, banners, etc.
Join the mailinglist if you want to know when the loony bin is finished.
And while you're at it, please don't hesitate to send me your comments and
suggestions for the site - the current overhaul is a 'window of opportunity'
to make other changes to the MM site as well...

Meanwhile, here's a 'sneak preview' of the sort of maniacal stuff
you can find on the upcoming 'goodies' page. The 'poster' at the
right was submitted by Serge just when we were discussing fake
whisky bottles that were supposedly produced in the late 19th
century. As a result, some of the other malt maniacs became
inspired as well and came up with their own falsifications of
history - like the picture below 'proving' that things weren't
alsways as civilised as in the late 19th century...

And that's it for now, I'm afraid... Join the mailinglist for news on future updates.
