Over the first 15 years of our existence, we have published a lot of information
about (malt whisky), but we've also experienced a lot of website crashes and
relocations. That means that this 'reconstructed' archive contains all the old
content I have managed to rescue, but we had to fit it in a new structure.
These Malt Maniacs Archives are divided into three main segments;

As far as the 'general' section goes, the buttons at the left don't cover
all pages. For example, there's an entire section dedicated to our little
whisky competition: the Malt Maniacs Awards - including the end results
for the years 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011.
You should be able to find all 'general' pages by clicking around for a bit.

GENERAL PAGES - reachable via hyperlinks and the buttons at the left,
ARCHIVE; PART 1 - the first part covers 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, etc.
ARCHIVE; PART 2 - the 2nd part covers 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011.

However, this is not an 'active' website. So, most pages of this archive are dedicated to the whisky articles
that we have written over the years. Not everything is finished yet, but you will be able to read at least some
of the articles that we published in a particular year by clicking on that year in the horizontal bar above.

Since our humble beginnings in the 1990's, the original Malt Madness website has been
growing and growing, very much like the condition of 'malt (whisky) mania' that has
drawn fellow victims to the site for many years. A website crash in 2006 forced me
to separate the Malt Maniacs part of the old site from Malt Madness and launch it
on its own www.maltmaniacs.org domain. For a few years, our on-line collective
continued to produce E-pistles quite steadily - and many of those whisky articles
were quite excellent, if I may say so myself. Nevertheless, times change, and
with the (r)evolution of social media the number of E-pistles started to drop.
In 2010 and 2011 we published 1 E-pistle per month, so that's no real E-zine.

I have to admit that I had lost some of my own motivation as well after 15 years of 'malt mania'.
So, at the very beginning of 2012 I decided I to retire as editor of Malt Maniacs. Fortunately, German malt maniac Oliver Klimek volunteered
to take over the position of editor of the site. He has launched an all new Malt Maniacs site on www.maltmaniacs.net - and you will be able
to follow the future adventures of the other malt maniacs from 2012 onwards on that website - and on the MM&F Facebook group of course.
